چکیده
Previous publications have discussed the occurrence of intracerebral hemorrhages, hallucinations and psychosis in COVID-19 patients. In this article, we reviewed literature on subject while depicting case a 63-year-old female patient who suffered from an hemorrhage right basal ganglia thalamus two weeks after diagnosis developed visual hallucinosis shortly after. We concluded that, there may be correlation between according to current literature, more research is yet needed clarify. our case, rather interpreted context peduncular related hemorrhage. compared patient’s lesion localization other 15 reported cases following hemorrhages Pubmed. summary, lesions were localized pons 52.9% cases, 17.7% and/or ganglia, mesencephalon respectively 5.8% temporal occipital lobe. The distribution pattern found consistent with previously proposed mechanism behind hallucinations.

Background and Importance: Coronavirus 19 is caused by the SARS-COV-2 virus. The primary target of the virus is the respiratory system, but it can also affect other systems of the body, such as the cardiovascular system and the Central Nervous System )CNS). Case Presentation: In this study, we introduce an 83-year-old man who referred due to reduced level of consciousness and hemiparesis ...
متن کاملDoes a Spontaneous Intracerebral Hemorrhage Predispose to a Secondary, Distant Intracerebral Hemorrhage? A Case Report and Review of the Literature
Cerebrovascular autoregulation may be dysfunctional after acute intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). This disruption in autoregulation can potentially result in secondary neurological damage that may present as an intracranial hemorrhage at locations distant from the primary site of hemorrhage. We discuss a case of 68-year-old female who presented with acute left hemiparesis from a spontaneous right...

Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) accounts for 10 to 15% of all strokes, but results in a disproportionately high morbidity and mortality. Although chronic hypertension accounts for the majority of ICH, other common causes include cerebral amyloid angiopathy, sympathomimetic drugs of abuse, and underlying cerebral vascular anomalies. Validated baseline predictors of clinical outcome after ICH incl...

Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) represents a significant fraction of all strokes and causes a disproportionate amount of stroke related morbidity and mortality, especially in young blacks. While diagnosis of this disorder has greatly improved in the CT era, morbidity and mortality remain essentially unchanged. Not one currently utilized therapeutic modality has been clearly associated with a ben...

Background: Simultaneous multiple intracerebral hemorrhages (ICHs) are rare and their underlying mechanisms are unknown. Reported etiologies include hypertension, vasculitis, cerebral amyloid angiopathy, venous sinus thrombosis, coagulopathy, and intracranial vascular anomalies. Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA; Wegener’s granulomatosis) is a necrotizing granulomatous vasculitis affecting ...
